A chemical factory exploded in Yusche county in north China's Shanxi province, killing three and injuring at least 37 workers, local media reported on Sunday.
At least two workers were in a grave condition. The explosion did not cause any leaks of harmful gases, the media reported.
The cause of the explosion is being investigated, the media reported.
China has a poor record of industrial safety, which results in numerous accidents at Chinese factories and plants, RIA Novosti reported.
