the Polish deputy minister of infrastructure, was dismissed Tuesday after changes in timetables over the weekend and bad weather caused chaos at train stations across Poland, reported DPA

"We're starting a clean-up of the railways," Prime Minister Donald Tusk said after he announced the dismissal.

A new timetable that took effect December 12 has caused chaos for passengers, who complain that the schedule is confusing and inaccurate.

Recent bad weather and heavy snow has magnified the problem and caused train delays of up to several hours.
