Over a dozen people were killed and injured as a roadside bomb struck a mini- bus in Helmand province, south of Afghanistan on Thursday, an official said.
"The ill-fated mini-bus was heading from Gereshk to Sangin district when it ran over a mine at 10:00 a.m. local time leaving 16 commuters including women and children dead and injured," spokesman for the provincial administration Daud Ahmadi told Xinhua.
However, he failed to give the exact number of the casualties, saying investigation is underway to determine the number of those killed and injured in the incident.
