Today one of the grand architectural monuments of Paris - Cathedral of House of Disables hosted an event devoted to the 88th birthday of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
The event was conducted with the initiative and support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Azerbaijani Embassy in France, the Azerbaijani Embassy in France told Trend.
Azerbaijan's ambassador to France Elchin Amirbeyov made key remarks to the event, which was attended by the representatives of the Foreign Ministry and Parliament of France, the accredited diplomatic missions in Paris, as well as representatives of the French community and Azerbaijanis living in France.
The ambassador spoke in details about the essential role and great merit of outstanding political figure, founder of the modern state of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in strengthening the sovereignty and independence of the country, in establishing stability and building a legal and secular state in the heavy conditions of the ongoing military aggression against Azerbaijan by Armenia.
The ambassador mentioned particular efforts made by the National Leader to restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and achieve a peaceful, fair and comprehensive settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
