Airplane crashes near Katmandu Airport leaving 19 dead

A small airplane, owned by Buddha Air Company, crashed in several kilometers from the Katmandu Airport on Sunday. As a result, 18 passengers on board died on the scene, while the 36-year old Niradjan Karmacharia died on the way to the hospital, the France - Presse ( AFP ) reports with reference to the airport's representative.

Earlier it was reported that the plane carried 16 foreigners on its board, 10 of which are the Indians.

The cause of the crash is not reported.
