Ukrainian Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko is concerned about the crime situation in Kiev after mass protests, the Interior Ministry's website said today, UKRINFORM reported.
"There is concern about the operational situation in Kiev, where burglary, robbery, hooliganism are often observed," he said.
He recalled that the provocateurs were detained on Maydan (Independence Square). Under the guise of philanthropists they collected funds for the needs of the protesters, etc.
"Therefore, I urge you to be vigilant and immediately inform the police officers about any suspicious actions," he said. "More police officers can work in crowded places to prevent theft of personal property."
