Trend:

All the tour operators of Russia are currently canceling charter flights to Turkey and have stopped selling tours, Dmitry Gorin, vice-president of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, told RIA Novosti Nov. 25.

He said that however there are no plans to early take Russian tourists out of the country.

"Those who have already arrived there [in Turkey] are resting as scheduled, it is not planned to take them out ahead of time," Gorin explained.

On Nov. 24, Turkish Air Force shot down a Russian Su-24 warplane in Turkey's airspace. Pilots managed to bale out, as the aircraft fell to Syria's territory.

After the incident, the Russian Foreign Ministry said it didn't recommend Russians visit Turkey in the near future.

Afterwards, Rosturizm - Russia's federal tourism agency - recommended the tour operators to stop selling tours to Turkey.
