German chemicals giant BASF on Monday said several people had been injured following an explosion at its facility in Ludwigshafen, where the company is headquartered, Reuters reports.
The cause of an explosion at around 11:30 local time (09:30 GMT) at its Landeshafen Nord facility was being investigated, the company said.
The relevant authorities have been notified, the company added.
