German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier called on Saturday for lifting the blockade of evacuation of civilians from eastern Aleppo and said that Moscow, Tehran and Damascus should provide the city with the necessary level of security, Sputnik reported.
"FM Steinmeier on #Aleppo: The situation is desperate. Blockage of evacuation must be lifted immediately… The Syrian regime and its supporters in Russia and Iran must guarantee the safety of remaining people in #Aleppo and protect evacuations," the German Foreign Ministry said on its Twitter page.
