A 5.7-magnitude earthquake hit Indonesia on March 8, RIA Novosti agency reported citing the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake was registered at 03:51 (UTC+7), with the epicenter located some 221 kilometers to the east of the Amahai settlement in the Maluku province, at the depth of 7.9 kilometers.
There has been no information about victims or damage caused by the quake.
