Ukraine-EU summit opens in Helsinki

(ForUm) - The Ukraine-EU summit opened on Friday in Helsinki, Finland, with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko leading the Ukrainian delegation to the summit. Ukrainian delegation also comprises Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk, Economy Minister Volodymyr Makukha, Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko, Fuel and Energy Minister Yuri Boiko, and Justice Minister Roman Zvarych, reports Trend.

The delegation of the European Union is represented by Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen, European Commission head Jose Barroso, European Union Council Secretary General Javier Solana, and EU Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner.
