Ukraine's president approves national security strategy

(www.for-ua.com) вЂ" President Viktor Yushchenko inked a strategy of national security of Ukraine on February 12, Cabinet press office reported.

The President commissioned the Cabinet of Ministers to implement the strategy, while the NSDC Secretary is supposed to supervise the Government's activity and report on it to the president.

The elaboration was completed in May 2006 by the NSDC and handed in to the President, reports Trend.

The document envisages priorities, goals and trends of national security policy to 2010.

The Cabinet of Ministers resumes elaboration of the bill "On the Grounds of Internal and Foreign Policy ", lacking in the article on Ukraine's integration to NATO.

Notably, Viktor Yushchenko, being engaged in initiation of a roundtable with participation of representatives of all political forces, called the anti-crises coalition's initiative to elaborate grounds of internal and foreign policy of Ukraine of the confrontational character.
