Ukraine is not ready to NATO – prime minister

( ForUm ) - The PM of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych confirms his position concerning Ukraine is not ready to accede to NATO. He told the journalists after meeting with the President of the European commission Jose Barrozu.

Yanukovych noted that there is a successful process of development with NATO in Ukraine.

"Nowadays there are no documents and no concrete terms for accession of Ukraine to the EU," he noted.

According to him, position of Ukraine, stated in the previous and also this year, becomes unchanged: "Ukraine is not ready to NATO," Yanukovych said.

He explained that only about 20% of the Ukrainian citizens support accessaion.

Yanukovych also noted that decision on Ukraine's accession to NATO will be made at the Ukrainian referendum.
