General Secretary of EU: Elections to be a test for Ukrainian leaders

( ForUm ) - General Secretary of the European Union Terry Davis considers any delay in the preparation for the early parliamentary elections will threaten Ukrainians' right for declaration of their will.

According to the General Secretary of the EU, "the elections on September 30 are the test for the Ukrainian leaders on the international community's trust, state's position and responsibility".

Davis welcomes the fact that political agreements about the elections holding were supported by the parliament that had passed necessary legislation acts", "UNIAN" informs.

Davis considers the preparation for the elections is the priority for politicians for today. According to Davis, everyone should to make a contribution, time has a decisive importance. The General Secretary assures that any delay in the preparation for the early parliamentary elections will threaten the right for declaration of will of Ukrainians during the fair and free elections.

He expressed assurance that Ukrainian Government will fulfill its duties, "and anyone should cooperate with it".
