The Turkish Air Forces Commander General Aydogan Babaoglu received Thursday his Polish counterpart General Andrzej Blasik in Ankara, reported World Bulletin.
Speaking to reporters while receiving Gen. Blasik, Gen. Babaoglu said that "Poland began to use F-16 fighter jets, just like Turkey, after joining NATO".
"Turkey has been using F-16s for the past two decades. Turkey is in a position to inform Polish authorities on the F-16 jets," Gen. Babaoglu said.
We will cooperate with the Polish Air Force, Gen. Babaoglu said.
"General Blasik will visit the Akincilar Air Base in Ankara and receive information on the training programs of Turkish pilots. Gen. Blasik will also visit the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI)," Gen. Babaoglu said.
"We have invited the Polish Air Force to participate in the Anatolian Eagle Military Exercise and, within this framework, Polish F-16s will join the exercise as of 2010," Gen. Babaoglu said.
