Ankara denied recent report offering Iraqi curds to join Turkey indicating that Turkish borders are not topic for discussion, Hurriyet Turkish newspaper said.

"Turkish borders were determined. So, it would be incorrect to discuss this issue," representative of Turkish foreign minister Burak Ozugergin said on July 10. He stressed importance of territorial integrity of Iraq, Anadolu Turkish agency said.

The international crisis group (ICG), U.S scientific center in Brussels published report dedicated to Iraqi curds. The report said that Kurdish leaders have openly spoken about necessity in union with Turkey since 2007.

The report also cites anonymous Kurdish official source. According to this source, Kurds have right for independence. But if they fail, we agree to be with Turkey rather than Iraq."

Fuad Hussein, assistant of leader of Kurdish regional administration Masud Barzani said that if Shias prefer Iran, Sunnites - Iraq, Kurds prefer Turkey," report said.

"It is not signal about changes on Middle East but Kurds' pretensions," speaker of the Turkish Parliament Koksal Toptan said, Turkish television CNN Turk said.

He said that Turkey will continue to support relations with countries of the region at previous level.
