Turkish ministers, whose children are involved in a corruption scandal, made ​​statements, Turkish TV channel Haber7 reported today.

Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan made a statement in connection with the arrest of his son Salih Kaan Caglayan.

"The conducted investigation would not yield any results," Caglayan said.

Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Erdogan Bayraktar also expressed his attitude over the arrest of his son Oguz Bayraktar.

"The investigation is underway and it is too early to talk about anything," Bayraktar said. "Everything will become clear at the end of the investigation."

Interior Minister Muammer Guler declined to comment on the arrest of his son Baris Guler.

Turkish police conducted special operations in Istanbul and Ankara on December 17, resulting in the arrest of 52 people.

The sons of Interior Minister Muammer Guler - Baris Guler, Minister of Economy Zafer Caglayan - Salih Kaan Caglayan, and Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Erdogan Bayraktar - Oguz Bayraktar, mayor of Istanbul's Fatih Municipality, Mustafa Demir, director general of Turkish Halkbank Suleyman Aslan and famous entrepreneur Ali Agaoglu are said to be among those arrested.

The ministers are the members of the Turkish ruling party.

The detained businessmen are accused of corruption, smuggling and selling drugs, according to the report.
