Mudflows in Borcka district in Turkey's Artvin Province have killed two people, according to a report on Hurriyet newspaper's website.

As the newspaper said, the mudflows in that district were caused by rainfalls.

Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) has said that on Nov. 11, heavy rains in the Borcka, Hopa and Murgul districts caused mudflows, which have had destructive effect in those areas.

Apart from the two killed as a result of mudflows, 11 people have been admitted to hospitals due to sustained injuries.

Earlier, a bridge collapsed in the province of Rize as a result of the mudflows.
