Turkey detained 20 people in Ankara in an operation against the “Islamic State” (IS, aka ISIS, ISIL or Daesh) terrorist group, the Anadolu Agency reported Sept. 5.
Sixteen of the detainees were arrested after an interrogation in the prosecutor’s office and others were released.
Earlier, Turkish media reported that the IS militants use Turkish province of Gaziantep on the border with Syria as a stronghold.
