Germany stands against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s speech to be delivered to the representatives of the Turkish community as part of the G20 summit, to be held in Hamburg July 7-8, a diplomatic source in the German foreign ministry was cited by the Turkish media as saying June 29.

According to the source, President Erdogan is expected to address the representatives of the Turkish community on the second day of the summit.

According to the official data, currently 3.5 million Turks live in Germany.

The day before the visit of a group of German MPs to the Incirlik air base, Ankara informed the German Foreign Ministry about impossibility of such a visit. Following the incident, relations between Turkey and Germany deteriorated in late 2016.
