The US and Russia recognize the legitimacy of the anti-terrorist operations of the Turkish Armed Forces in Syria's north, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said, Trend reports referring to Turkish media.
According to the minister, this once again proves that military operations in northern Syria are directed against terrorists.
Cavusoglu added that Ankara, as before, stands for the territorial integrity of Syria.
The Turkish foreign minister further noted that a security zone, free from any terrorist entities, will be created in Syria's north, extending to the Iraqi border.
On Oct. 9, Erdogan announced the beginning of a new military operation in Syria, called "Peace Spring".
On Oct. 17, Ankara agreed with Washington to suspend the Operation Peace Spring in Syria's north for 120 hours, so that during this time the YPG/PYD detachments would leave northern Syria.
On Oct. 18, the agreement on the 120-hour cessation of military operations in Syria's north by the Turkish Armed Forces entered into force.
