From January through September 2019, exports from Istanbul and Ankara to Iraq amounted to $1.7 billion, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
During the reporting period, exports from Istanbul to Iraq increased by 12.23 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to nearly $1.5 billion.
“Exports from Ankara from January through September 2019 to Iraq increased by 21.48 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $231.9 million,” the ministry said.
In September 2019, exports from Istanbul and Ankara to Iraq amounted to $232.4 million.
“In September, exports from Ankara to Iraq amounted to $32.8 million, which is 19.54 percent more compared to the same period in 2018,” the report said. “Exports from Istanbul to Iraq for the specified month increased by 14.94 percent compared to September 2018, amounting to $199.6 million.”
From January through September 2019, exports from Turkey to Iraq increased by 3.58 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $5.4 billion.
Turkey’s foreign trade turnover in September 2019 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $32.2 billion.
From January through September 2019, Turkey’s total trade turnover amounted to $286.4 billion.
