In October this year, the trade turnover between Turkey and Georgia increased by $20.4 million compared to October last year, amounting to $147 million, a source in the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend Dec. 4.
“In October 2019, Turkey’s exports to Georgia amounted to $135.5 million, and imports from Georgia - $11.4 million,” the ministry said.
From January through October 2019, the trade turnover between Turkey and Georgia increased by $34.4 million compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $1.3 billion.
“From January through October 2019, Turkey’s exports to Georgia amounted to $1.1 billion, and imports from Georgia - $190.4 million,” the ministry said.
Turkey’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $34.5 billion in October 2019.
During the reporting month, Turkey's export decreased by 1.5 percent compared to October 2018 and amounted to $16.3 billion. In turn, import to Turkey increased by 10.7 percent compared to the same period of 218 and equaled $18.1 billion.
Total value of Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $320.9 billion from January through October 2019.
