Turkey reveals revenues from transport taxation, toll roads in 2019

Turkey's income from taxation of vehicles and from the fees for the use of roads and bridges in 2019 exceeded 2 billion Turkish liras ($335.5 million), Trend reports referring to the Turkish General Directorate of Highways.

The income from the use of road bridges in 2019 reached 425.4 million Turkish liras ($71.1 million) and the income from the fees for the use of roads reached 1.6 billion Turkish liras ($26.4 million).

“In total, over 455 million vehicles proceeded along the roads and bridges in 2019,” the General Directorate said.

Turkey’s income from the taxation of vehicles and from the fees for the use of roads and bridges amounted to 183.2 million Turkish liras ($30.6 million) in December 2019.

The income from fees for using automobile bridges in December 2019 amounted to 39.8 million Turkish liras ($6.6 million) while for the use of roads - 143.4 million Turkish liras ($23.9 million).
