Turkey's export to OIC countries in January 2020 grows

Turkey’s export to member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in January 2020 exceeded $3.8 billion, which is an increase by 6.7 percent compared to the same period of 2019, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend March 2.

The export to the OIC countries has made up 26 percent of the total export of Turkey for January 2020, the ministry said.

The import from the OIC countries to Turkey in January 2020 exceeded $2.6 billion, which is an increase by 24.1 percent compared to January 2019.

The import from the OIC countries has made up 14 percent of the total import of Turkey for January 2020.

Over the reporting period, the foreign trade turnover of Turkey has exceeded $33.9 billion.

The export and import of Turkey during this period amounted to $14.7 billion and $19.2 billion, which show increase by 6.4 percent and 18.8 percent compared to January 2019, respectively.
