Turkey’s export of steel to the US increased by 59.04 percent from January through March 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, exceeding $108.6 million, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend on April 17.
In March 2020, Turkey’s export of steel to the US amounted to $32 million, which is 5.78 percent less compared to March 2019.
In 1Q2020, Turkey exported steel worth $3.1 billion to world markets, which is 15.1 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
Meanwhile, Turkey’s export of steel amounted to 7.3 percent of the country’s total export.
In March 2020, Turkey exported steel worth $984.1 million to world markets, which is 24.4 percent less compared to the same month of 2019. In this month, Turkey’s export of steel amounted to 7.3 percent of the country’s total export.
From March 2019 through March 2020, Turkey exported steel in the amount of $13.2 billion.
