As many as 154,271 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Iraq in the first 4 months of 2020, which is 3 percent less than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports on May 21 referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
"Iraq accounted for 41.7 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation from Turkey by trucks over the reporting period," the association said.
According to the UND, in April 2020, 37,881 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Iraq, which is 12 percent less compared to April 2019.
In total, 369,978 trucks from Turkey transported cargo abroad from January through April 2020, which is 8 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
Some 79,909 trucks from Turkey transported cargo abroad in April 2020, which is 23 percent less compared to April 2019.
