Ukraine's cargo transportation to Turkey increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26

As many as 2,935 trucks transported cargo from Ukraine to Turkey in the first 4 months of 2020, which is 16 percent more than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports on May 26 referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).

"Ukraine accounted for 2.35 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation from Turkey by trucks for the reporting period," the association said.

According to the UND, in April 2020, 718 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Ukraine, which is 11 percent more than in April 2019.

From January through April of this year, 125,108 trucks from different countries transported cargo to Turkey, which is 7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

"In April 2020, 20,616 trucks from different countries transported cargo to Turkey, which is 42 percent less compared to the same month of 2019," added the association.
