Turkey's export of chemical products to int'l markets shrinks

Turkey's export of chemical products to foreign markets decreased by 17.2 percent from January through May 2020 compared to the same period of last year and stood at $7.2 billion, Trend reports on June 4 with reference to the Turkish Trade Ministry.

Turkey's export of chemical products to world markets amounted to 11.7 percent of the country’s total export from January through May 2020.

“In May 2020, Turkey's export of chemical products to world markets amounted to slightly over $1.1 billion, which is 39.1 percent less compared to the same month of 2019,” the ministry said.

Turkey's export of chemical products in May this year made up 11.8 percent of the country’s total export.

During the last 12 months (from May 2019 through May 2020), Turkey's export of chemical products to world markets amounted to $19 billion.

In April 2020, Turkey's export of chemical products to world markets amounted to slightly over $1.2 billion, which is 27.3 percent less compared to the same month of 2019.

Meanwhile, Turkey's export of chemical products made up 14.3 percent of the country’s total export.

From April 2019 through April 2020, Turkey's export of chemical products to world markets amounted to $19.8 billion.
