Cargo transportation from France to Turkey remains stable despite pandemic

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25

As many as 1,049 trucks transported cargo from France to Turkey from January through May 2020, which is 1 percent less than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports on June 25 referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).

"France accounted for 1.6 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation to Turkey for the reporting period," the association said.

According to the UND, in May 2020, 205 French trucks transported cargo from France to Turkey, which is 8 percent less than in May 2019.

From January through May 2020, 65,957 trucks from different countries transported cargo to Turkey, which is 22 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

"In May 2020, 9,285 trucks from different countries transported cargo to Turkey, which is 51 percent less compared to the same month of 2019," added the association.
