As many as 5,197 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Turkmenistan in the first half of 2020, which is 24 percent less than in the same period in 2019, Trend reports on July 20 referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
"Turkmenistan accounted for 0.93 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation from Turkey by trucks for the reporting period," the association said.
According to the UND, in June 2020, 831 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Turkmenistan, which is 31 percent less than in June last year.
In total, 558,903 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad from January through June 2020, decreasing by eight percent compared to the same period in 2019.
Some 99,165 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad in June 2020, which is 6 percent more compared to June 2019.
From January through May this year, 4,366 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Turkmenistan.
In May 2020, 798 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Turkmenistan.
