Turkey’s steel exports to the US increased by 8.1 percent from January through March 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, surpassing $116.1 million, the Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.
In March 2021, the value of steel exports from Turkey to the US surged by 53.7 percent compared to March 2020, having exceeded $49.2 million, the ministry said.
In the first quarter of 2021, Turkey increased steel exports to international markets by 22.5 percent in annual terms, up to $3.81 billion, the ministry said.
In March 2021, Turkey exported steel worth over $1.54 billion, which is 57.7 percent more compared to March 2020.
Over the past 12 months (from March 2020 to March 2021), Turkey’s steel exports amounted to $13.3 billion.
