Turkey's 4M2021 steel exports to Turkmenistan shrink

The value of steel exports from Turkey to Turkmenistan shrank by 51.9 percent in the first 4 months of 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, equaling $23.2 million, the Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.

“In April 2021, Turkey’s steel exports to Turkmenistan dipped by 41.8 percent compared to April 2020 and stood at $1.11 million", said the ministry.

From January through April 2021, the value of steel exports from Turkey increased by 36.3 percent on annual basis, amounting to $5.46 billion.

Turkey exported steel worth over $1.67 billion in April 2021, an increase of 84.2 percent compared to the same month of 2020.

Over the past 12 months (from April 2020 through April 2021), Turkish exports of steel amounted to $14 billion.
