Turkey releases figures of cargo shipment via Trabzon port for 7M2021

The volume of cargo transshipment in the Turkish port of Trabzon amounted to 1.04 million tons from January through July 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.

According to the ministry, 6,421 tons of cargo were transported through Trabzon port by ships flying the Turkish flag, and over 1.03 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

As the ministry said, no cargo was handled in transit via the Turkish ports during the indicated period.

Over 219.5 million tons of goods have been transshipped through the Turkish ports from January through July 2021, 17.5 million tons of cargo were handled by ships flying the Turkish flag, and more than 201.9 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

More than 43.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in the first seven months of this year.

Furthermore, nearly 31.3 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in July 2021.

In the same month, around 2.2 million tons of cargo were transported to the domestic ports via ships flying the Turkish flag while via ships flying the flags of other countries – 29.1 million tons.

Meanwhile, over 6.6 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports.
