The freight turnover of the airport in the Turkish Trabzon province in 8M2021 amounted to 18,881 tons, which is 64 percent more than in the same period last year, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend on October 4.
According to the ministry, during this period, freight turnover on domestic flights amounted to 14,710 tons (an increase of 42 percent compared to 8M2020), while on international flights it accounted for 4,171 tons (an increase of 252 percent).
It is also reported that the passenger traffic at the airport amounted to 1,651,199 people, which is 39 percent more than during the same reporting period last year. At the same time, passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 1,490,263 people (an increase of 30 percent), on international - 160,936 people (an increase of 261 percent).
In addition, the ministry reports that the number of flights performed in 8M2021 amounted to 13,325, which is 47 percent more than in the same period last year. At the same time, the number of flights performed on domestic routes accounted for 11,157 (an increase of 36 percent), on international lines - 2,168 (an increase of 152 percent).
According to the results of 8M2021, the passenger traffic at all airports in Turkey amounted to 75,582,742 people, and the turnover of goods amounted to over two billion tons.
