The Turkish port of Mersin received 2,696 ships from January through August 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend on October 6.
According to the ministry, 486 ships accepted by the port were under the flag of Turkey, while 2,210 were under the flags of other countries.
Also, the ministry reports that Turkish ports received 4,619 ships in August 2021.
It is noted that 1,443 ships out of the total number of ships accepted by the ports were under the flag of Turkey, while 3,176 were under the flags of other countries.
According to the ministry, the ports of Turkey in 8M2021 received 33,619 vessels, including 10,285 under the flag of Turkey.
The rest of the ships were under the flags of other countries.
