The number of vehicles used in Turkey in September 2021 decreased by 12.1 percent, compared to the same period last year, amounting to 92,996, Trend reports with reference to the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK).
According to the information, the share of passenger cars in the total number of vehicles in Turkey during the reporting period amounted to 54.3 percent, vans and trucks - 16.3 percent, motorcycles - 14.8 percent, tractors - eight percent, other types of vehicles - 6.6 percent.
Turkey ranks sixth in Europe in car production. The country assembles Ford, FIAT, Renault, Toyota, Honda, Opel, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and MAN car brands.
In addition, Turkey also manufactures buses of BMC, Temsa and Otokar brands.
