The volume of cargo transshipment in the Turkish port of Antalya in 9M2021 amounted to 3.2 million tons, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
According to the ministry, ships under the flag of Turkey through the port of Antalya transported 258,845 tons of cargo, while ships under the flags of other countries transported three million tons.
The ministry noted that transit transshipment of goods was not carried out through the Turkish port of Antalya during the reporting period.
At the same time, the ports of Turkey handled 286.3 million tons of cargo in total since beginning of 2021.
In particular, during the reporting period, cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 22.2 million tons.
Also, cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 263.8 million tons.
In addition, during the specified period, Turkish ports handled over 57 million tons of transit cargo.
In September 2021, the ports of Turkey in total handled 32.8 million tons of cargo.
It is noted that cargo transportation through the ports by ships under the Turkish flag in September 2021 amounted to 2.4 million tons, while by ships under the flags of other countries – 30.5 million tons.
According to the ministry, Turkish ports handled 6.9 million tons of transit cargo in September 2021.
