Some 15 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey in January 2022, which was five companies less than in the same period in 2020, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) told Trend.
The total capital of Azerbaijani companies recorded in Turkey in January 2022 amounted to 3.656 million Turkish liras ($268,240), while the capital was at the level of 2.86 million Turkish liras ($209,841) in the same period in 2020.
During this period, 11 companies with Azerbaijani capital were listed in Istanbul, and their overall capital reached 2.936 million Turkish liras ($215,433).
Out of the total number of registered companies, one operates in the field of agriculture, another one - in the industrial sector, one - in construction, and seven - in the transport and logistics.
"The rest of the companies with Azerbaijani capital are involved in other sectors of the Turkish economy," TOBB said.
The total equity of the seven wholesale and retail companies registered during the reporting period totaled 1.7 million Turkish liras ($124,758).
In 2021, 237 companies with Azerbaijani capital were recorded in Turkey. Their total capital amounted to 63.171 million Turkish liras ($4.6 million).
In 2021, 207 companies with Azerbaijani capital were listed in Istanbul, and their overall equity reached 56.402 million Turkish liras ($4.1 million).
In 2020, 148 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey, out of which 126 corporations with a total capital of 21.19 million Turkish liras ($1.5 million) were listed in Istanbul.
