BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. Turkish ports handled 160,683 cars in August 2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye said, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.
During the reporting month, Ro-Ro ships delivered 68,253 vehicles to Turkish ports, whereas 92,430 cars have been sent from the ports of Türkiye.
From January through August 2022, the country's ports transshipped 1.48 million cars.
"In the period under review, Ro-Ro ships delivered 602,778 vehicles to Turkish ports, while local ports exported 880,900 vehicles," the ministry stated.
The ports of Türkiye transferred 2.09 million cars in 2021.
Ro-Ro ships delivered 790,274 vehicles to Turkish ports during this period, whilst 1.3 million cars were shipped from local ports.
