The event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Khojaly genocide was held in Buenos Aires, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Argentina told Trend today.
The representatives of Argentina's public and political circles, legislative bodies, diplomats and the media attended the event.
Ambassador Mammad Ahmadzade told the participants about the history of Karabakh, the resettlement of Armenians in Azerbaijan, the roots of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Khojaly genocide, the conflict settlement.
A special issue of the İRS Herencia journal, entitled "Karabakh - the heart of Azerbaijan", devoted to the 20th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy was presented.
This issue of the journal includes the materials relating to the history of Karabakh, the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Khojaly genocide, "Justice for Khojaly" campaign, Karabakh culture, the Karabakh carpet school, Shusha jewelry school, Karabakh mugam school and Karabakh kitchen.
The exhibition and films devoted to Khojaly genocide, history and culture of Karabakh were demonstrated.
