The New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) held a news conference on the results of the elections at 19.00pm. “The parliamentary elections were success,” Ali Ahmadov, the deputy chairman of the NAP, also executive secretary of the party, told Trend. According Ahmadov, the elections were democratic, transparent and held in the conditions of equal struggle. Serious violations able to have impact on the results were not registered. Only small violations took place during the voting.
Touching upon the statements of the oppositionists on mass falsifications made in the elections, he said that the oppositionists admitted their defeat by these statements.
