Turkish Airlines (Turk Hava Yollari) canceled on Wednesday about 200 domestic and international flights because of the mass strikes of employees of airlines, the Zaman newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The group of workers of Turkish airlines of 200 people has staged at Istanbul Ataturk Airport a massive strike against the consideration by the Parliament of the bill that prohibits airport workers from staging strikes.
Airline passengers have been accommodated in nearby hotels. Workers who went on strike were fired. In response, the airline's website was hacked.
Turkish Transport Minister Binali Yildirim made a statement that in the near future, relevant measures will be taken, and implementation of flights will be carried out as usual.
