Georgian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Kakha Kaladze is visiting the Gardabani 500 substation. The Ministry of Energy reported that the minister has examined the current operations being conducted at the substation.
He also heard a report from the Georgian State Energy System management about the readiness for holidays and winter season in general.
The company will work round the clock on the eve of the New Year holiday. All employees will be involved in the operations because the power consumption significantly increases during this period.
Gardabani 500 is a substation is of great importance for the Georgian energy system. The whole of Eastern Georgia has been provided with electricity generated by the power plants.
The plant was put into operation in 1963 and passed to the Georgian energy system in 2006.
