In the first quarter of 2013, Bakyelektrikshebeke JSC (the sale and distribution of electricity in Baku) purchased 2.46 billion kilowatt/hours of electricity from Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the regions of Azerbaijan) compared to about 2.6 billion kilowatt/hours in January-March 2012, Bakyelektrikshebeke told Trend on Tuesday.
In 2012, Bakyelektrikshebeke JSC acquired 8.55 billion kilowatt/hours of electricity compared to about 8.21 billion kilowatt/hours in 2011. In 2010, the stock of purchased electricity totaled 7.92 billion kilowatt/hours.
In January-March 2013, Bakyelektrikshebeke JSC paid for nearly 93.2 percent of electricity supplied by Azerenergy versus 89.43 percent in the same period last year.
In 2012, Bakyelektrikshebeke JSC paid for 93.6 percent of electricity provided by Azerenergy compared to about 92.2 percent in 2011. In 2010, the figure was at 96.2 percent.
