Resistance only way for liberating Palestine - Iran's SNSC Secretary

Resistance against occupying force of Israel is the only way for liberating Palestinian occupied lands, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili said on Monday, IRNA reported.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Hamas Politboro Musa Abu-Marzuq.

'All peace plans proposed to force Palestinians for a compromise with Israel aim to prevent this nation's resistance towards Tel-Aviv as only way for liberation of the occupied lands.'

Pointing to the victories, Palestinians achieved in the 8-day war, Jalili noted that such victories proved that resistance is the only way for liberation of Palestine.

'Resistance for the liberation of Palestinian lands is the best axis for unity of Islamic Ummah and could be used as a preventive strategy in deterring enemy divisive plots.'

SNSC secretary called Hamas victories in the 33 and 22 days as brilliant adding that these victories happened even before the start of regional Islamic Awakening.

Jalili underlined that the enemies are dividing the Muslim Ummah by weakening role of Syria in the resistance movement.

Deputy chairman of the Hamas politboro for his part stressed the determining role of Islamic Republic of Iran in resolution of Muslim world issues.

Emphasizing the important role of Syria in liberation of Palestine, he noted that the Syrian crisis has no military solution.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

Thousands of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.

In October 2011, calm was eventually restored in the Arab state after President Assad started a reform initiative in the country, but Israel, the US and its Arab allies are seeking hard to bring the country into chaos through any possible means. Tel Aviv, Washington and some Arab capitals have been staging various plots in the hope of increasing unrests in Syria.
