Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met and conferred with his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz on the sidelines of the Iran-P5+1 negotiations in Vienna on March 20, Iran's IRNA news agency reported.

The two top diplomats in their meeting exchanged viewpoints on the latest status of the two countries' relations.

Zarif meanwhile appreciated the Austrian government for hosting the nuclear negotiations between Iran and six world powers and briefed foreign minister Kurz on the ongoing negations and the future trend of the nuclear talks.

The Austrian foreign minister, too, for his part in the meeting welcomed Iran's new approach in the nuclear talks with the West and hoped for the nuclear talks' success.

Stressing the importance of boosting the bilateral ties, the Austrian foreign minister referred to the resuming of the Austrian airlines' regular flight to Tehran as a sign of Vienna's enthusiasm for expansion of ties.
