Iran's border troops have started large-scale exercises dubbed Iqtidar-3 (Force-3), Iranian IRNA news agency reported on April 13.
Over 6,000 border guards serving in Iran's Kermanshah, West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Ilam and Khuzhestan Provinces as well as air defence students of Iranian border patrol academy are participating in these exercises.
The four-day exercises started near the Ghasre-Shirin city of Kermanshah Province.
Unmanned aerial vehicles, bullet proof cars, two-pilot planes, helicopters and paratroopers of the border guards are involved in the exercises.
The exercises will also include trainings on coordination of border protection activities.
