The forest is burning in the Kepsut region of Turkey's Balikesir province, "Anadolu" reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the fire broke out at night and was spread over a large area due to strong wind. Fire trucks, eight helicopters and three fire planes are involved in extinguishing the blaze.
Forest fires have been continuing in Turkey for three weeks. Large fires broke out in the forests of Mugla region earlier.
