Hungarian MPs support the decision of Azerbaijan on the release of Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov.
This was stated by deputy chairman of parliamentary committee on Foreign Affairs, co-chairman of the Inter-parliamentary Friendship group Marton Dyondoshi and MP from Yobbik party in the Hungarian parliament Tamas Heqedus at a meeting with Azerbaijani ambassador to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev, the embassy said.
Most of the protest action participants against the decision of the Hungarian authorities to extradite the Azerbaijani officer that took place on September 4 in Budapest, do not know about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the occupation of Azerbaijani lands and the real reasons for the murder of the Armenian officer by Safarov, Dyondoshi said at the meeting.
He said the leaders of the political parties are trying to use such actions to their advantage. As the MP said, he tried to clarify the issue in his interviews with the Hungarian media.
Participants at the meeting also discussed the prospects of bilateral relations.
